Italian gardens, public art exhibition by Sculpture Now, and beautiful house proportions and design...a great start to my trip on a beautiful, blue sky day. Edith Wharton was a woman ahead of her time and I am inspired to read more of her work. "Ethan Frome" is next on the list...written as her marriage was crumbling and she felt the stifling restrictions on women in society.
