Serendipity! I was in Stockbridge, MA on Friday afternoon and checked to see if the BSO had finished their season at Tanglewood. John Legend instead! I snagged one of the two remaining seats in the shed and walked across the road from Kripalu on Sunday night to an amazing evening. More than music, he walked the audience through his life and the influences on his music, his values, and his activism. And after intermission, I happened to glance to my left and saw his wife Chrissy Teigen and kids sitting six seats away. An unexpected evening! I hope there are many more like this on my road trip (and I hope never to share such a grainy photo again). - Susan Silberberg, 209 miles
